It is important to note that middle school sports at the school level look quite different than on the high school level. Knox County middle school sports are classified into two distinct categories: Knox County sponsored sports programs and middle school community sports programs. Below you will find the Knox County sponsored sports programs offered at Holston Middle. In order to participate in any of these programs, students must have an up-to-date Physical Form on file at their school.

Holston Middle is the home of the Hurricanes and Lady Hurricanes athletic teams.

School sanctioned sports are in full compliance with Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) rules and guidelines. Emerald Youth Foundation hosts and is responsible for all other athletics.
